Rinveda Privacy Policy
Rinveda is an AI-powered privacy-first financial intelligence platform for Indian users. Our first MVP feature is automatic SMS-based expense tracking, designed to help users understand everyday spending with less manual entry.

Introduction
Rinveda is operated by Rime Global Technologies Private Limited. We build for a sensitive category: personal finance. Our privacy approach is to explain permissions clearly, use data for the product features users choose, and avoid unnecessary exposure of financial information.
Rinveda is currently in early access / MVP stage. Some features may be improved, changed, or expanded based on user feedback, technical feasibility, platform policies, and privacy requirements.
SMS Permission Usage
Rinveda may request access to SMS messages on Android devices to detect transaction-related SMS alerts from banks, cards, wallets, UPI, and financial service providers. This helps users automatically track expenses and reduce manual entry. SMS permission is requested only on Android devices where this feature is available.
Rinveda is designed to process transaction-related SMS alerts such as debit, credit, UPI payments, card spends, ATM withdrawals, wallet transactions, bills, EMIs, and bank balance-related financial alerts. Personal conversations and non-financial messages are not used for marketing or advertising purposes.
Rinveda is designed to focus on transaction-related SMS alerts. We work to avoid unnecessary processing of non-financial messages.
Rinveda is not designed to use OTPs, personal conversations, or non-transaction messages for advertising, referral rewards, or unrelated marketing.
SMS access is requested only with user permission. Users can deny or revoke SMS permission from device settings. If SMS permission is not granted, users may continue using manual expense entry where available.
Why SMS Data Is Used
Transaction-related SMS data is used to provide the core automatic expense tracking functionality users choose inside Rinveda.
- Automatic transaction detection from financial SMS alerts.
- Expense categorization and subcategorization.
- Spending summaries and financial insights.
- Duplicate transaction detection.
- Reducing manual expense entry for users.
SMS and financial transaction data are not used for advertising profiling or unrelated marketing.
Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Rinveda, which permissions you grant, and which features are available in your version of the app.
- Account and contact information: We may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, early access details, support messages, or similar contact information when you choose to share it with us.
- Transaction details detected from SMS alerts: Rinveda may process transaction-related SMS alerts from banks, cards, wallets, UPI, and financial service providers to identify details such as transaction amount, date, merchant or sender, debit or credit status, balance-related information, and similar financial alert details used for expense tracking.
- Manually added expenses: If you add expenses manually, we may process the amount, date, notes, merchant, payment mode, categories, subcategories, and other details you provide.
- Categories and insights: We may process categories, subcategories, tags, summaries, duplicate transaction signals, and related financial insight data generated or selected inside Rinveda.
- App usage and diagnostics: Where applicable, we may collect app usage, crash, error, diagnostics, and performance information to keep Rinveda reliable and improve the user experience.
- Device and app information: We may collect basic device and app information needed for security, debugging, app performance, account functionality, or platform requirements, such as device type, operating system version, app version, language, and region.
We do not ask for bank passwords, card PINs, UPI PINs, or payment credentials as part of the expense tracking experience.
How We Use Financial Information
Financial transaction information is used to provide expense tracking, categorization, summaries, and insights inside Rinveda. We do not publicly disclose users' financial or payment-related personal data.
We do not sell users' personal data, SMS data, or financial transaction data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.
Local Data and Security
Rinveda may store expense and transaction data locally on the user's device to support offline-first usage and faster access.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. No app or service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce unnecessary access, exposure, and misuse.
Data Sharing
We may use trusted service providers for app hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, or cloud backup where applicable. These providers are used only to operate and improve Rinveda.
We currently use Firebase-related infrastructure for parts of our web and early access systems. Firebase or related Google services may be used for features such as hosting, database storage, authentication, messaging, analytics, crash reporting, or future cloud backup if those features are enabled.
We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Rinveda, Rime Global Technologies Private Limited, or others.
Referral Data
If referral features are used, Rinveda may process referral codes, invite links, referral status, locked points, and minimal referral events. Referral tracking is not designed to use SMS content, transaction details, bank data, card numbers, balances, or financial ledger records.
User Rights and Control
Users should stay in control of their information. Depending on the feature and where the data is stored, you may be able to:
- Request access to information associated with your account or support history.
- Request correction of inaccurate account or contact information.
- Request deletion of information associated with your account, where applicable.
- Edit or delete expense records inside the app where the feature is available.
- Revoke app permissions, including SMS permission, from your device settings.
- Contact us for privacy-related questions or support requests.

Users may request deletion of account-related data by contacting support@rimeglobal.com. Some locally stored data may need to be deleted from the app or device by the user.
Children's Privacy
Rinveda is not intended for children below the legally required age for using financial apps or personal finance services. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Rinveda evolves, new features are released, or legal and platform requirements change. When we make updates, we will revise the effective date on this page. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, or email where appropriate.
